Music
in Appalachia is one of the best known manifestations in the region. The word
Manifestations means an event, action, or object that clearly shows or means
something. Traditional Appalachian music is from English and Scottish, and is
fiddle music. Two instruments in Appalachia are, a 5 stringed banjo, and an
Appalachian dulcimer, which is like a guitar.

Education
For a lot of Appalachia’s history, education in Appalachia
has failed to keep up with the rest of the nation. This is because; they
struggle with funding, from the state governments. When they first started
doing education, it was teaching Christian morality, and learning to read the
bible. This took place in a one room school houses. After the Civil War, they
made grade schools and high schools, much like schools today. In the 20th
century, they had them teach things other than Christianity.
